Here Are the Most Surprising Terms of Anna Faris and Chris Pratt’s Divorce Agreement

Not all Hollywood divorces are a nightmare, as Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' divorce settlement proves.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have settled their divorce in a nice, friendly way — rare for a Hollywood couple.

On November 7, a private judge dissolved their marriage, with the couple considering their 6-year-old son, Jack, above all else. They agreed to share joint legal and physical custody and worked out a “flexible timeshare dependent on their availability and work schedules.”

As part of their arrangement to co-parent Jack, they also both agreed they will live no further than five miles apart until their son completes the sixth grade. That’s OK, both Anna and Chris brought their respective partners trick-or-treating on Halloween with Jack. If either does plan a move further than that, or plans to take Jack on a trip out of the country, they will need to provide written notice 30 days prior.

Both waived their right to spousal support (wow!) but they do have a prenup that will remain “the governing document with regard to issues related to spousal support, community property, separate property, assets, liabilities, debts and reimbursements.”

Child support was set at $0, meaning that neither party shall pay child support to the other at the present time. Instead, they will keep their joint bank account for Jack’s monthly expenses — like clothes, child care, school tuition and other expenses — and both will contribute to the account yearly. Jack will alternate years as a dependent on their tax returns, with Chris claiming him in even years beginning with the 2018 tax year and Anna in odd years starting with the 2019 tax year.

The exes are very friendly it seems, with Chris dating Katherine Schwarzenegger, 28, and Anna dating cinematographer boyfriend Michael Barrett, 48. Chris and Anna split after eight years of marriage in 2017, with a joint statement on Facebook. “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.”

They officially filed for divorce in December 2017.
